A graduate of Colby College, Phyllis had a successful career as a Real Estate Agent before making an exciting move to entrepreneurship designing jewelry stores for cruise ships and stores in the Caribbean Islands. Ever the adventurous spirit, Phyllis enjoyed traveling the world, interesting works of art, and listening (and singing along) to Tony Bennett.
Phyllis is survived by her brother, Stephen Marder and his wife Joan. She is also survived by her two children, Jennifer Jansen and Joseph Cairns and Michael Jansen and his wife Jennifer as well as Danielle Chaulk, who she loved as a daughter. In addition to her brother and children Phyllis is survived by her three grandchildren; Hannah Checca and her husband Michael, Benjamin Driscoll, and Joshua Jansen and her two great-grandchildren Kate Louise and Brady Checca. Finally Phyllis is survived by her beloved friend Carol Gershman and longtime companion Sami Sharon.
A burial service will be held on Sunday May 19th, 2019 at Mosswood Cemetery, 280 Putnam Ave. Cotuit, MA 02635 at 11 am.
