Barnstable – Phyllis Marie (Bucci) Lynch, 90, passed away at the Pavilion Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hyannis on November 3, 2018.
Born in Melrose, MA on February 6, 1928 to Marie Mildred Rose and Henry John Bucci. She graduated from Winchester High School in 1946 and later attended the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. In 1948, Phyllis and her husband Jim moved to the Cape to raise their family. Later in life she worked as the secretary in the Nutrition Department at Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands. She loved her family, the beach, walking, fashion, sewing, reading, music, Jeopardy and the Boston Red Sox.
Phyllis was predeceased by her former husband, James E. Lynch, Jr., son John Henry Lynch and her sister Barbara Curran. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Janis St. Peter and her husband Sturgis of Barnstable, James E. Lynch, III and his wife Karen of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erin Marie St. Peter of Eugene, OR, Danielle Sturgis Hamel and her husband Timothy of Centerville, and James E. Lynch IV and his wife Jill of Poway, CA along with many nieces and nephews.
The St. Peter family would like to thank the staff at the Pavilion for their dedicated and compassionate care of Phyllis over the last 17 months.
A burial service will take place at Mosswood Cemetery, 280 Putnam Avenue, Cotuit MA on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:30 AM.
