Ralph, you've always been a straight shooter with a heart of gold. For years and years, in many places, you made sure I knew that you insisted on seeing the concrete pour on a new MSPCA before you left. I'm so glad you saw that concrete pour! Your MSPCA is building a special place for the people and animals of Cape Cod.
 
I know you'll be somehow be in the room later this year when we cut the ribbon. 

To Patricia and the family, I know the memories of laughter and wit and joy of this great man will last 
forever.  Please know that you have our friendship and warm thoughts for peace.

Sooooo many of my happiest childhood memories were spent at your warm and inviting home, sitting around one of your mesmerizing fires with a dog or two in my lap!
Your words werent many but your dry wit and sarcastic sense of humor always kept me on my toes and make me smile to this day~ work boots ring a bell?!!!
Thankyou for the beauty of your friendship, the kindness of your soul and most importantly for your daughter, still to this day~ my very best friend!

Ralph was not a guest at MSPCA-Cape Cod. He was part of our family. When Ralph dropped in (sometimes on a weekly basis) to bring supplies, he also brought laughter, jokes and encouraging words for our hard-working staff. Ralph seemed to have an uncanny way of knowing what we needed on any given day, whether it was dog treats, cat toys, paper towels or stamps. The shelter/adoption center team looked forward to his frequent visits and happily gave him the bet seat in the office. We loved him. It's as simple as that. He will be terribly missed. Our hearts go out to Patricia and Holly and we hope that they take comfort in knowing that he brought us so much joy. And, he helped thousands of animals.

 A classic gentleman. Kind, caring, generous, larger than life. That was Mr. C in a few words. I am one of the lucky ones to have had the pleasure of knowing him as I grew up. My heartfelt sympathies to his lovely wife and my dearest friend, his daughter Holly.  ❤❤

A nice guy. An All-American at West Point in football. A legend in the Engineering Dept. My sympathy to his family.

I remember Ralph as a no nonsense, down to earth guy who was pleasant to be with whether during an evening together at Pete Hexners or when I caught up on things with him when we saw each other at the Pru after we had both retired.  Im sorry to hear we have lost him as Im sure are all of his many friends from Gillette.      Len Spalding







I met Ralph when I worked for Pete Hexner at Gillette in South Boston and Ralph would drop by our office.  He was a genuine, nice person and a delight to talk to.   I was truly saddened  to hear of his death.
