Dicky was our "senior and honorary member "of the " BHS Class of 1958 guys night out group" consisting of Ed Butler,Jim McGillen,Paul White, Dennis Sullivan, Craig Hopkins and myself. We have been getting together for dinner every couple of weeks for many years now to talk about local news, sports, our ailments, and occasionally, and with some risk to the cohesiveness and amity of the group, politics . Since he was a bit older (and therefore, perhaps a bit wiser than some of us), we often deferred to Dicky's knowledge of local history, and his wisdom gained through many years of experience. He held our attention with his funny stories, had us all laughing with his jokes, and holds our respect for his courage to carry on in tough times. We all miss him very much.

I knew Dick through the years as a Tracy customer. What a good guy. Always cheerful and engaging with a witty sense of humor. My condolences to the family.

My heartfelt thoughts and condolences go out to Dickie’s family and friends. I truly thank him for his service to our country and to our town - loved it when he came into Town Hall - he always had a smile on his face....that smile is what I will remember. So sorry....
