Sandera J. (McFaul) Booth, 76 passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022, at Cape Cod Hospital after a long illness. Born on May 19, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of the late Vernie Foxen and Robert McFaul. She grew up on the West coast, where she met and married Russell Booth, eventually settling in Arlington, MA then moving to Cape Cod in 1995. Sandy worked for many years in various roles ranging from payroll to office management, but her true joy in life was being chief executive of the Booth household. Always behind the camera and never wanting to be in the spotlight, she loved taking photos and recording celebrations, birthdays, Holidays, and vacations filled with memories of family meals, playing games and endless days on the beach. The Booth house was always open where everyone was welcome to share a meal or spend the night – or in some cases, move in. Sandy's favorite place to be was in the kitchen cooking for her family – often sending food/meals and detailed instructions if she was unable to be there herself. She loved playing games on her phone, sharing her Wordle scores daily, watching Football and Golf and binge watching the latest shows. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters which often included a trip to the casino when time and schedules permitted.
In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she is predeceased by her daughter Holly Jacob. She is survived by her children Jeffrey Booth and his wife Erin of Toms River, NJ; Gregory Booth and his wife Deborah of Sandwich, MA; Amy Holland and her husband William of Sandwich, MA; and Ryan Booth and his wife Jilian of Cortland Manor, NY; nine grandchildren Ashley, Sara, Tyler, Jared, Meghan, Madeline, Grady, Nolan, and Nathan and two great grandchildren Layla and Mason. She was the sister of Karen Webster of Virginia, Patty Foxen-Brubacher of Colorado, Kathy Ray of California, Rocky McFaul of Idaho, and John McFaul of Colorado.
For those who knew Sandy, it will come as no surprise that she had requested (nay demanded) there be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, she asked that you have a margarita in her honor. At a later time, there will be a private service for immediate family members at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA where she will be laid to rest with Russ and Holly, followed by a celebration of life (despite the fact she would not be happy about it).
