

Dr. Saul Quint, a longtime resident of Hyannis, Massachusetts and loving husband of Uta Quint, died in his home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 96. He was born in Boston on November 18, 1928, the son of Rose (Vidro) and Leo Quint. He was predeceased by his beloved sister Ellaine Rose and her husband Sidney.
Saul was raised in Newton. He graduated Newton High School, where he was a distinguished track star, and a member of the Royals Club. Saul was particularly proud to have set the New England record for the 220-yard dash. He attended Syracuse University, served in the United States Navy, and graduated from Tufts Dental School.
Saul was married twice. Through his first marriage, he had three children – Andrew, Charles, and Jon. He later found enduring companionship with his wife Uta, who brought her daughter Simone into their lives. Together, they shared 51 years of marriage and were blessed with 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Quint enjoyed skiing, sailing, traveling, and reading. He was a lifelong fan of the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox, and an avid supporter of the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He maintained a passion for learning and debating throughout his life.
The funeral will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 22nd at Cape Cod Synagogue, 145 Winter St., Hyannis. Burial with US Navy military honors will follow at Oak Neck Cemetery, Hyannis.
