

Thomas E. Cxypoliski, 77, of W. Hyannisport, MA died unexpectedly at home. He was born and raised in New Haven, CT by his late parents Thomas A. and Harriet Cxypoliski and was a graduate of North Haven High School and Yale School of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging. After graduation, Tom spent a short time in the US Navy as Chief Petty Officer stationed in Chicago, IL.
In 1963 Tom moved to the Cape and became the Assistant Chief X-Ray Technician at Cape Cod Hospital, a year later he was promoted to Chief X-Ray Technician. During his time with the hospital he played on the Cape Cod Hospital softball team. Tom retired from his position at the hospital in 1978 and became the owner of the Coffee Cup Restaurant in Dennisport which he operated for 30 years.
A man of many talents, Tom’s passion was photography and music. In his youth he would summer in Hammonasset Beach where he was a DJ. Prior moving to Cape Cod, in his 20's, he worked as a private investigator working with the firms, D.A. Chernoff Investigations of New Haven CT and John Ek Security in Miami FL. Tom continued with various special projects for John Ek even after his move to the Cape. Tom was also a member of the Hyannis Elks Club and president of the Dennis Yarmouth Chapter of Kiwanis International.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 51 years of marriage, Roberta (Clements) Cxypoliski; his son Thomas E. Cxypoliski, Jr., daughter Robin (Cxypoliski) Marsden, grandson Stephen M. Marsden and nephews David and Michael Mattia. He is predeceased by his sister Cynthia.
Visiting hours will take place on Monday, January 29th from 4 pm to 7:30 pm at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St Hyannis, MA 02601. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 30th at Our Lady of Victory, 230 S. Main St., Centerville, MA 02632. Burial services will be private.
