Thomas was born and raised in Bronx, NY. He is predeceased by his beloved mother, Claretta Mills-Dickerson of S. Carolina and his father, Thomas Person of Manhattan NY. He is also predeceased by his brother Willie Lee Dickerson of Las Vegas, Nevada and the love of his life Michelle Daluz of Hyannis.
Thomas and his family moved to Cape Cod in 1972. He graduated Sandwich High School in 1979 where he was a stand-out athlete in many sports such as track and football.
He was an extremely hard worker and resilient. He loved being surrounded by family and his many friends who were also considered family. He also enjoyed cooking, gardening and found the most joy supporting his children and grandchildren during their sporting events. He was selfless with his generosity and would never miss an opportunity to express his love for you.
Thomas is survived by his two daughters Tanya Dickerson of Attleboro, Tara Dickerson of Boston, his three sons, Thomas S. Dickerson Jr. of Mashpee, Tiquwan Dickerson of Mashpee and Holden Dickerson of Hyannis. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Arianna, Michael, Thomas, Ciara, Ayden, Juliana and Kamai. His children and grands were truly his pride and joy. Thomas is also survived by his beloved sisters Catherine Lopez of Marstons Mills, Ann Gomes of Hyannis, Harriet Hawley of Centerville, Veronica Dickerson of Centerville, his youngest brother Theodore Dickerson of Boston and a host of nieces and nephew who he's made an everlasting impact within each of their lives with his consistent presence.
Thomas "Uncle Sly" will forever be remembered for his hilarious sense of humor and his extremely big heart. He is truly one of a kind and was loved dearly. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting hours will be held at Doane, Beal, & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main Street , Hyannis, Ma 02601 on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 9-11:30 AM with reflections shared from 11:30 am -12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Centerville, Ma.
