Cheryl was born December 29, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Sugar Creek, Missouri. Cheri graduated from Van Horn in 1978. She was a member of Lifegate Church. Cheri loved spending time with her family and friends and loved watching the Kansas City Chiefs. She worked at the groves for 20 years and retired in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles Kilbury and stepfather Gerald Betz.
Cheri is survived by her husband Richard Long of 45 years of the home, daughter Mystie Long, Erica Unugiere both of Independence, Missouri. Grandchildren Haleigh (Jake), Taiwan, Ronnie, India, Kyndall, Amaya, Aubrey and Demetrius and 1 great granddaughter Maria. Her mother Suzanne Betz, Siblings Cindy Drinkard (Dennis), Joy Scribner (Jim), Geri Ford (Daniel), Jill Heishman, Kim Kilbury, Michael Kilbury and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, 509 S Noland Rd Chapel, Independence, Missouri 64050, on July 17, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
