Cindy was born on March 20, 1958 in El Paso, TX. She always cherished memories of being raised in El Paso and her wonderful childhood growing up in the neighborhood of Mountain Park. The Morrow family moved from Pomona, CA to Independence, MO in the early nineties where she became a playground monitor for Ott Elementary School between 1995 to 2003. It was there that she met her best friend. They were known as the “recess ladies” and everyone’s mom.
Cindy loved the Lord, family and being a dedicated mother and having adventures with her daughter. She was an advocate for animals and loved her fur babies, Darlyn, Brody, Sadie and Grace. For 23 years she was known as one of the Saturday Ladies at Ryan’s Steakhouse and later Golden Coral alongside her best friend. Cindy touched so many lives with her warmth, kindness and unconditional love. She had the rare ability to show genuine concern to what was important to others. Cindy’s treasure was the inseparable bond and love between her and her daughter. They were each other’s world and best friends.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, Skip and Deel Griffin. She is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Morrow; her brothers, Steve and Richard Griffin; cousin, Teri Jacques; nephew, Alex Griffin; nieces, Tiffany Grace and Astrid Griffin and her best friend, Shawn Kirkman.
