Fritzanna Dee Lyke

Fritzanna was born in Independence, Missouri, on January 11, 1943, to Waneta and Shirley Milby. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 1961.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Fritz Kendall; grandmother, Anna Kendall; father, Shirley Milby; and mother, Waneta Milby.

Fritzanna is survived by her beloved husband, James Lyke; step-son, Leo Lyke; daughter, Georgina Light; granddaughter, Natasha Burroughs; great-granddaughter, Braelynn Engle; great-grandson, Slade Pebley; sister, Roberta Shiflett; and brother-in-law, Pete Shiflett.

Throughout her life, Fritzanna found joy and purpose in caring for and serving others. She worked as a daycare teacher at First Baptist Church, as an assistant at The Coves Nursing Home, and as a teacher’s aide at Fairmont Elementary School. Her compassion and dedication to helping others touched the lives of many.

Fritzanna’s faith was a very important part of her life. She loved attending church and was always eager to share the Word of God whenever she had the opportunity. She was a woman of strong and unwavering faith who prayed diligently and faithfully for her family and friends. Her love for God and for the people around her was evident in the way she lived her life.

Fritzanna had a heart for people. She believed in helping others, caring for those around her, and lifting people up through prayer. She gave of herself freely and never needed recognition for the kindness she showed. Her faith was not simply something she spoke about—it was something she lived every day.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering faith, kindness, and dedication to others. The prayers she prayed, the lives she touched, and the love she gave will remain a lasting part of her legacy.

**To her family, she was more than a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and great-grandmother. She was a source of love, strength, prayer, and faith. Her presence brought comfort, and her love created memories that will be treasured for generations to come.**

Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that Fritzanna’s faith carried her throughout her life and that she is now at peace in the presence of the God she loved and served.

She may no longer be here for us to hold, hear her voice, or share another moment with her, but the love she gave will never leave us. She will live on in the hearts of her family, in the lessons she taught, in the prayers she prayed, and in every life she touched.
