Irene L Lohse

Irene L Lohse, age 95, of Independence, MO passed away Jan. 7, 2017 at her home. Visitation 10am to 11am Wed, Jan 11, 2017. Funeral service 11am Jan. 11, 2017. All services at Noland Road Chapel. Burial in Napoleon Methodist Church Cemetery. She was born Dec 4, 1921 in Napoleon, Mo to Herman and Rhoda (Messersmith) Struewe. She graduated from Levasy High School in 1938. After high school she worked in the office at the Kansas City Stockyards until she eloped with Ralph F Lohse, April 24, 1950. They were lifelong residents of Independence. They raised four children to which she devoted her life and enjoyed 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 gr great grandchildren. Her lifelong passion was quilting, sewing and more recently jig saw puzzles. Preceded in death by husband Ralph, brother Wesley Struewe, sisters; Alice Platt and Esther Struewe. Irene is survived by her brother Charles Struewe and sister Novilla Utterback. Daughters; Terry Parcel(Ray), Sheryl Morrison(John), DeAnna Ervin(Tim). Son, Keith Lohse (Paula). Grandchildren; Scott Trosper, Dawn Jedlicka (Jason), Allison Nowak (Danny), Brian Lohse (Mistie), Jenifer Schapeler (Edwin), Adam Morrison (Emily), Katie Danner (Zack), Chrystal Friend.
