James P Smith, age 77, of Oak Grove, passed away August 4, 2018. He was born April 20, 1941 in Brosley, Mo to Lafayette S and Bonnie Marie (Tibbs) Smith. He was raised and educated in the Kansas City area.

He retired from being an over the road truck driver in 1992.

During retirement, he enjoyed fishing, boating, bargain hunting, and grand kids.

Preceded in death by wife Trudy, brother Vernon Smith.

He is survived by; Sons; Scott Smith, Jamie(Valarie) Smith. Sister; Sarah Kyle. 5 Grand kids and 3 great grandson. 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

Visitation service, Thursday, August 9, 2018, 10am to 11am, Funeral Service at 11 am. Services at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
