

James was born February 25, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri to James Edward and Mildred Constance (Wilson) Taylor. He raised his family in Lee's Summit, Missouri. James worked for around 30 years as a certified forklift operator for Glazers Midwest Warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri until his retirement. He was 30-year member of Teamsters Union Local # 955.
When James was in his youth and early 20's he played in a band called The Revolution of Sound, where he enjoyed playing at local establishments with his bandmates around the Kansas City Area. James was a very talented and passionate guitarist who could recite and play every Beatles song which was also his favorite band throughout his life. You could always count on him to show up at a gathering or celebration with his guitar and song book in hand.
James loved his blue jeans and denim shirts. He loved the mountains, riding his mountain bike and participated in the MS150 races with family and friends. James enjoyed watching Chiefs games with his son Chris, and his close friends Kelly and Michelle Davenport. He had many hobbies through the years like, collecting vinyl, rebuilding classic cars and trucks, building and collecting model cars, racing RC cars, Collecting Beatles memorabilia, guitars, and watches.
James was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Taylor, sister Deborah Burris and a nephew Derrick Dale.
Survivors include son Christopher Taylor, daughter Jennifer Wells, sister Theresa Evans, Martha Taylor of Clinton, Missouri, Melodye Mahler Aurora, Colorado, 3 grandchildren Finley, Vincent and Jemma and many nieces and nephews.
Family will be having a memorial gathering at Newcomer's Noland Rd Chapel, 509 S Noland Rd, Independence, Missouri 64050. Times and days are still pending.
