Jimmie Dee Frye, 78, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away on December 4, 2023.
He was born to parents James Frye and Lorene (Frye) Price, on May 21, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas. Jim enlisted in the Navy and became a Radarman - 1st class at the time of discharge. Jim graduated from Penn Valley Community College and received a degree in Electrical Engineering. He began his career at Owens Corning Fiberglass and relocated to the Quad Cities, retiring with Atlas Energy as a Plant Engineer. Jim was known for his love of fishing and bowling.
He married Vi, the love of his life, in 1970, who survives him. Jim is also survived by daughter Linda Keeler and husband Steven, granddaughters Annalise and Hadley, and sister, Sharon Taylor. Jim was preceded in death by parents James and Lorraine.
Jim will be buried with Military Honors at the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetary.
