John "Jack" Barry

Jack was born on his mother’s birthday, July 27, 1930 in Pottsville, PA to Vincent and Elsie (Foster) Barry.

After service as a Chief Radioman in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War he graduated from Penn State University. He worked for the U.S. Government for 27 yrs retiring as Officer in Charge of the Midwest Region, Interstate Commerce Commission.

Survivors include his wife Joan, daughter Janice and partner Stephen Lohe, son Richard “Rick” and wife Lori, granddaughters Gabrielle and Lauren, cousin Beverly Wohlbach and husband Harry, and many more family members.

Jack will be cremated and Memorial Service will be at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery on Raytown Rd Monday 3/25/19 at 11am. Visitation 10am. Interment will follow.

Donations to Shriners Children’s Hospital or a favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
