Joyce Elane Wright

Mrs. Wright was born on August 29, 1936, at Fairland OK. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1954. Joyce married Ennis Harrison Wright on July 24, 1955 in Joplin and moved to Kansas City in 1956. They were married for 43 glorious years prior to his passing in 1998. Joyce resided at the current residence for 62 years.

She retired from the Marine Corp Finance Center in 2000 at 64. Joyce enjoyed life and helping others. She cared for her mother, Ruby E. Long until her passing in 2008. Her pleasures were going to Grand Lake o’ the Cherokee, taking boat rides and spending time with Family, the sewing circle, bible school, going to church and Playing Bingo.

Joyce has 2 daughters, Roxanna Elaine Plumbley (David Scott) and Julie Ann Parks (Daniel), 1 son, Brent Harrison Wright (passed 2012). She has 6 grandchildren, Richelle E. Nelson (Matthew), Shelby A. Walker, Blake H. Wright, Shayne A. Walker, Bryton L. Wright, Shyanne N. Walker and 3 great grandchildren, Hayden A. Walker, Hunter L. Nelson, Paxton S. Rosenberger. Brother, Robert L. Long and nieces/nephews.

Joyce will be laid to rest in Fairland Cemetery next to her beloved husband Ennis, in Fairland, OK.
