Juanita A Kirmse

Juanita was preceded in death by her mother, Madge Dixon, father George Dixon, sister Sylvia Woods and brother Rodney Dixon.

Juanita attended and graduated from Frederick Douglas High school in Columbia, MO. She received a degree in nursing and was employed as a register nurse at The Veteran’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO until her retirement.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist church, where she served on the Health Ministry and the Hospitality Ministry.

She is survived by her husband Richard Kirmse. Three children, Charles Johnson (Deitra), Alesha Pauley (Craig), Mark Johnson (Ray) and one step-daughter Brenda Rossie-Soto (Alfredo ). Five grandchildren, Michael, Kristopher, Morgan, Jalen and Maya. One step granddaughter, Ashley. Three great grandchildren, Nolen, Leilana and True. One God Child, Erika Moore. Two brothers, Michael and John . Three sisters, Karen, Karettia and Darlene. A host of beloved family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church, located at 1700 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO, 64109, on August 29, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. The Funeral Service will follow at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The Committal Service will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO, 64133, on August 29, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
