Lenora was born in Marshall, Missouri to Tommie Powell and Millton Maxwell on November 27, 1955. She grew up in Kansas City, MO and attended Greenwood Elementary and attended Central Middle School up until the sixth grade.
She worked at Dela Lamb Learning Center as a lead teacher. Lenora accepted Christ in her life and was baptized as a Jehovah Witness in 1994. Lenora had five children; Tina Powell, Ray Reed, Tocha Reed, Andrea McKinney, Adrian McKinney. One son-in-law, Robert Alexander, Jr. And Espinola Kelley, as well as six grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother Tommie Powell, six sisters; Goldie Simpson, Shantell Powell, Betty Powell, Bernice Powell, Deborah Powell, and Annie Powell. Survivors include two brothers; Henry Powell and Dennis Powell, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be truly missed
