Paula was born February 4, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles A. and Nellie B. (Marple) Ross. Paula retired from the IRS after 30 years of service. She was a Sunday school teacher at Colonial Beach Baptist Church. She was also an instructor for women’s groups at Stonecraft Ministries and a member of prayer group at The Gathering Baptist Church.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a great grandchild.
She is survived by her husband Robert Brooks, daughter Angela (Danny) Brown, stepdaughter Sherry (Ken) Walker, Stepson Rob Brooks, Jr, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorial service November 19, 2025, at 2:30 pm The Gathering Baptist Church, 4505 S Noland Rd, Independence, Missouri 64055. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
