Renee Nicole Brewer - Hicks

Reneé Nicole Brewer-Hicks, 34 of Independence, Missouri passed away January 11, 2015 after a long courageous battle with kidney disease. Graveside service will be 1:30pm Friday, January 16, 2015 at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Independence. Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm Friday at Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel. Reneé was born May 22, 1980 in Independence, Missouri, attended Proctor Elementary and William Chrisman High School. Reneé had a great love for cars, and If she wasn’t under the hood, she would be behind the wheel. Her hobbies also included painting and playing with her niece and nephew. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Taylor Reneé Hicks, her father; Ronald W. Brewer, her paternal grandparents; Betty and Wayne Brewer Sr. and her maternal grandfather; Norman Holloway and many aunts and uncles. Reneé is survived by her mother; Gayle Brewer of Independence, sister; Ashley Brewer-Lewis of Independence, husband; Michael Hicks and two step-sons; Anthony Hicks and Draven Hicks. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The National Kidney Foundation, 6405 Metcalf Avenue #204, Overland Park, KS 66202.
