Ronnie Eugene Johnston Sr., age 74, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Thursday February 19th 2026. He is preceded in death by his wife Janie Johnston; son Ronnie Johnston Jr; mother Myrtle Johnston; father Julian Johnston Sr; brothers Lester, Jerry, and Julian Jr; sisters Sheila and Linda.
He is survived by his son Justin Johnston (Jessica); daughters Stephanie Pennington (George), Kristan Lopez-Hernandez (Ever), Cindy Gonzalez and Angela Pennington (Michael); grandsons Antonio, Alex, Julian and Tyler; granddaughters Ray-Lynn, SHannon, Deseree, MEgan, Emily, Nikki, Kylie, Ariel, Chelsea and Laura; great grandons Xzavier, Mason, and Malachi. Great granddaughters Ester and Aubrianna. Many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A visitation will be held on February 25, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Newcomer's Noland Road Chapel, located at 509 S Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64050.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A committal service will take place on the same day at Brighton Cemetery, 1619 MO-215, Brighton, MO 65617, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
