Mrs. Goucher was born on October 30, 1926, in Raymondville, MO to James and Alice Sawyer. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Goucher (Dan), three grandsons, Ryan Brock (Melissa), Eric Brock, Charlie Bailey and five great grandchildren; David, Lena, Louis, Ana and Ember. She also has many loved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Goucher was preceded in death by her husband Charles of 56 years, and her parents, along with five sisters; Cleda Wells, Vada Stagner, Nettie Conley, Kathleen Sawyer, Evelyn Sawyer and three brothers; Johnnie Sawyer, Bud Sawyer and Samuel Sawyer. Mrs. Goucher was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, playing cards, puzzles and spending time with family. She loved music and could play just about any stringed instrument. We will miss her dancing, singing and whistling but know she has been reunited with her loved ones and is doing just that.
Services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Newcomer’s Noland Road Chapel 509 S. Noland Rd, Independence, MO 64050. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Washington Cemetery 614 S. Brookside, Independence, MO 64053.
