Thomas Nicholas Cordas

Thomas was born to Raymond N. Cordas and Veronica J. (Barra) Cordas on February 4, 1956. Tom was born and raised in Kansas City, where he chose to stay and plant his roots.

Tom was blessed with a son, Thomas (Tommy) Cordas. He then met and married his best friend, Cathy Jo and together they also welcomed two daughters, Veronica and Ayla.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends alike. Some of the best memories will always be the shared vacations, watching sports together and listening to Tom’s stories. Tom lived an adventure filled life, that he lived to the fullest, so he was never short on stories to tell. He is and will be very missed.

Tom is survived by his children; son Tommy Cordas (Karissa) Overland Park, KS; daughters Veronica Cordas and Ayla Cordas, both of Independence, MO. Grandchildren, Kyla Cordas, Tommy Cordas and Zackary Marshall. Siblings; sister Connie John and brothers David John, Paul Cordas and Gregg Cordas.

Tom was preceded in death and greeted by his wife, Cathy Jo Cordas and his parents Raymond Cordas and Veronica Phillips, along with many other loved ones.

Family will welcome visitors on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 from 11 am-1:00 pm at Newcomers Noland Road Chapel, 509 S Noland Rd, Independence, MO, 64050. Inurnment will be with his wife Cathy at a later date.
