

Susie was born October 15, 1938, in Dallas County Missouri to Buell and Iris Wilkerson.
She was saved at age twelve and was baptised in Thomas Creek near her home.
She went to Urbana High School where she played basketball, scoring 30 points in a game on at least one occasion. She was the Valedictorian of her graduating class.
On September 23, 1956, she married Eddie Taylor. They were married for 60 years. They raised two sons, Robbie and Tommy, and one daughter, Patti.
Susie was a homemaker in the early years of raising a family, but started working in the floral business in her thirties. She was an excellent floral arranger and worked at several shops in the area. She eventually became an entrepreneur and opened her own shop, Taylor Maid Flowers.
She spent thirty years in the floral business.
She was a member of Waldo Avenue Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was very active with the church. She had a wonderful singing voice and was a featured soloist. She also sang with other singing groups, including the Clementines.
Susie is survived by her son Robert and his wife Mary Jo; son in law William Beaty; four grandchildren, Matt, Jimmy, Jessica, and Jacob; and four great grandchildren.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband Edward; son Thomas; daughter Patricia; brothers Robert and James; and sister Linda.
