

On Saturday, May 28, 2011, Glen Laskey, Indian Head, SK. died suddenly in the CCU unit of the Regina General Hospital at the age of 80 years. Glen was born on June 10, 1930 on the N.E. quarter of Sec.33, Tp.16, Rge. 13, W.2nd R.M. 127 in the Interlake District of Saskatchewan. Glen was predeceased by his parents, Ron and Teenie Laskey, two sisters; Nina Laskey and Dorothy Massel, brother-inlaw, Jack Massel, niece Roberta Laskey and great nephew Michael Phillips. Glen is survived by two sisters: Muriel (Mike) Kopp, Indian Head and Doris (Bill) Morrell, Edgeley, SK., two brothers: Gordon (Charmaine) Laskey and Ivan (Cathy) Laskey, Indian Head, also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Farming was Glen's life, he continued to do so until he entered the hospital on May 20, 2011. He was an avid welder and business man for many years, working with his dad in Indian Head. Family meant every thing to Glen and he will be missed greatly. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Indian Head, SK. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Suzanne Edgar and Alverta Laskey CPSP officiating. Interment in Indian Head Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held in the Tubman Funeral Home Indian Head on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00.
