RIEGER – The meaning of the name Mary: An energetic, hardworking woman, sometimes shy, a joy bringer, gives to all, gives her all and fights a good fight. Never truer was a name given to a special woman. It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we announce that our mom, grandma and great grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Mom was survived by “only nine” children: Shirley Colwell, David Rieger, Betty Horacki, Adam Rieger Jr., Marilyn Morrison, Jan Leonard, Gladys Unger, Millie Michaluk and Reg Rieger; Twenty-six grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers and four sisters-in-law. Mom also leaves to cherish her memory numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends, many “adopted” grandchildren and spouses and partners of her beloved children. Mom was dedicated to her family and God. Mom loved her family unconditionally; she followed all of their lives closely, making her family her life. Prayer’s will be offered on Sunday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Cecilias Roman Catholic Church, 5020 7th Ave. Regina, SK. The Funeral Mass to celebrate mom’s life will take place on Monday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilias Roman Catholic Church. Officiating Rev. John Weckend. Interment in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Grayson SK. at 4:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow in the Cecilia Hall. Donations in memory of mom can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Saskatchewan Chapter, Box 309, Saskatoon SK. S7K 3L3. Children were her life. “A circle of family and friends never ends” We will miss you mom – “so long” from all of us. Mom loved purple please feel free to wear something purple.
