With saddened hearts, we announce that Raymond Longeau of Indian Head, Saskatchewan passed away on Friday, March 31st, 2023, at the age 95. After several months of declining health, Raymond passed peacefully with his beloved wife Lorraine by his side.
Raymond was born in Sintaluta, Saskatchewan on November 27th, 1927 to father Robert Longeau and mother Marie Louise Longeau. The middle of 3 sons and a daughter, he helped out on the family farm and found all sorts of projects and inventions to keep him busy with his brothers. Raymond met Lorraine in 1955 on a blind date at a dance in Montmartre. The rest is history as they later married on November 6th, 1957. They farmed just south of Indian Head, living there, raising their family and farming the land for 54 years.
In 2007, Raymond showed his resiliency again by battling and beating prostate cancer.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Marie Louise Longeau and by his father and mother-in-law Lucas & Katie Tomaschefski, his sister Hugette Jones (Howard) and by his brothers Marc Longeau (Barbara) and Camille Longeau (Phyllis) and his sister-in-law Lynn Tomaschefski and brother-in-laws Wilfred McLean and Alfred MacGregor.

Raymond is also survived by his sister-in-law Theresa MacGregor, brothers-in-law Adam Tomaschefski (Sheila) and Luke Tomaschefski and many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Having an extended blended family, Raymond always welcomed and loved the visits from step grandchildren and great-grandchildren as this meant more ears to listen to his stories. These special people include Michelle (Ruxton), Olivia, Shannon (Wade), Courtney (Brad) with Teagan and Tyson, Crystal (Tony) with Matthew, and Dayton, Brady, Trace and Carson.
He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all and a man who would give his shirt for a friend. Even in his final days, he would say to his loved ones, “Take care of that Family.” Raymond was a strong, kind and good man. He is loved and will be missed by many.
