The son of Rance Bradley and Julia Crumpton whom both proceeded him in death. Albert was orphaned as a baby and was raised by his uncle, Albert Crumpton.
Albert moved to Indianapolis, In. at a young age. He attended public elementary schools in both Birmingham and Indianapolis. He also attended Crispus Attucks High School.
Albert was affectionately known as Al, Big Al, or Brother. He was a true character. He was funny, loving, and he truly loved life. He never met a stranger and never let a pretty face pass him bye. As far as we know, Albert only married twice.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Orie Mae Bradley. From this union two children were born; Albert Clarence Bradley Jr. and Loura Brewster. In 1971, Albert married Gertie Marie Bradley. From this union two children were born; Michael Shawn Bradley and Alwanna Marie Bradley. Albert and Gertie remained in this union until her death in 2011.
Albert loved the Lord and was baptized at an early age. He enjoyed church services and was a faithful member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church until his health prevented him from attending.
Albert held various jobs throughout his life, which all involved driving. He was a bus driver for the city of Indianapolis before it was known as the Metro and he delivered paper for Boise.
Albert was also a member of the Freemasons. He won the title of “King of Freemasons” in 1996. No matter the position or title held, he worked hard and was dependable. Albert was always doing something to make money, up until he had to give up driving in 2017 for health reasons.
Albert lived his life to the fullest and made sure to enjoy each and every moment. He loved traveling, spending time with his family, dancing, and going to the casino. He was the most caring, loving, reliable man; always willing to help. If you needed a ride and had to be at your appointment at 8a.m., he would be there at 6a.m. to pick you up. He was that reliable.
Albert departed this world on Sunday July 24th, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memory his two siblings; brother Ransom Bradley and a sister. His sister Dorothy Bishop proceeded him in death. Daughters: Alwanna (Jerome) Moses, Loura (Daryl) Brewster. Sons: Michael (Kisha; former Necie) Bradley, Albert Bradley Jr, and a very special son-in-law Jerome Moses. Grandchildren: Alisha (Marcus “you know everything”) Allen, Shonda (Jeremy) Berry, Yayonna Caldwell, Janiyia Moses Jeriyah Moses, Jerome Moses Jr. Darylgena Brewster, Tiffany Mangrum, Chad Bradley, Nadia Bradley, Stephon Bradley, Travon Bradley, and DeAndre Bradley. 16 Great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and two very special friends: Gregory and Louise Johnson.
Albert wouldn’t want this to be a sad occasion he would want us to continue to enjoy life, have fun, and dance!
