Although I have had the blessing of getting to watch Xander grow over the years, I will always see him just as he was in first grade. I’ll always remember Xander befriending Lennox when she joined the football team. He was always so nice to her and my favorite memory is when yall told us that he asked to adopt her as his little sister if anything ever happened to us, because he wanted a sister! Sweetest boy. Our hearts and thoughts have been with you since we heard the news and Xander will always be in our memories. ❤️

I will always remember those hot summers preparing for the season and also running green boxes with each other. Xander was always right by my side and always had my back. I'll always miss you and never forget you bro.

Xander Chung was not like everyone else, his passion and dedication was so incredible that when he started something he WAS  going to finish it. On and off the field Xander would encourage everyone and make everyone’s day. Xander was like a mentor to me on and off the field whether it was how much work he put in in the gym or cracking jokes on the school grounds, Xander was always there for me not just as a friend, but as someone I could look up too.  Although he may be gone in our world, he is still alive in our hearts, helping us to have the same passion and dedication that he had so that we could archive the goals that he unfortunately could not. Xander, love you so much bro. Rest in power ❤️🏈❤️

I loved training Xander! He was always so respectful and courteous. Such a hard worker with good kind heart. May his light shine bright!

Xander was always up for a fun game night! He was a great friend to my son and so kind hearted, silly, funny, smart and a very polite young man. It was an honor to know him and we are very saddened by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Andy and Kramer during this devastating time.

I didn’t know Xander too well but I remember him telling me he wanted to go to Northwestern University for Medical School. I think he had the potential to achieve that goal.

From the first day we shared the field, your energy, heart, and loyalty stood out. Whether it was cracking jokes in the locker room or grinding through tough practices, you always had your contagious positive energy. Thank you for everything, and rest easy. We’ll never forget you.

Xander and I were good friends. We had many talks about mental health, music, football, friends, family, the future, video games, everything. I have many memories with Xander that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. I remember we started writing a song together that we never quite finished. It was brilliant in that it was so stupid, the song was solely about soup and its ingredients, yet we poured quite a bit into it. We laid the wreath at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier in DC. We played football side-by-side. But most of all Xander was a kind-hearted gentleman, loyal-to-a-fault and caring beyond words. He showed his love through actions not words.

I’ve only known Xander for almost 2 months. I’ve had conversations with him in the past but only started talking to him after my friends and I had made a minecraft server. My fondest memory of him during this time was when me and him went to go rescue our friend Thomas in a different dimension and where he was almost about to die. While Thomas was not playing, waiting for us to save him, Xander and I had a conversation that I valued a lot. We talked about school, giving me advice on sophmore year, our parents, and games we’ve played in the past. That server helped me gain a lot of respect and insight for a lot of people, primarily Xander. Another fond memory I have of him is right before we started the Minecraft server while I was waiting for the bus to go to my state baseball tournament. I was with Xander and Jace in the weight room and we were talking about our future, what colleges we might want to go to, and professions . We talked about local colleges and what our dream colleges would be. Colleges that might be good for certain occupations, like him wanting to be a doctor and how he wanted to go to a college with a good pre-med, like Northwestern. Jace, him, and I also discussed schools for football, like TCU. When I first heard the news, it killed me knowing we were just talking about our future endeavors and college, and how he wouldn’t be able to experience that.

Never knew Xander that much, but the guy was great, always cracking jokes and making fun, he was a good kid, I’ll miss him.

My best memories with you were always late at night playing games together. You were a great person and an even better friend. I will miss staying up late and talking for hours on end. Your memory will always live on with us and I hope you rest in peace.

I only knew Xander for 2 years but those 2 years were enough for me to see what a bright, kindhearted person he was. He always went out of his way to make other people happy and help those around him. The first time I spoke to him was in Geometry class, when he offered to help me find my grades for an assignment on ManageBac because he saw how much I was struggling to navigate the portal. During Chemistry class especially, he would always make me smile at his jokes and he was never anything but funny and friendly. He was really passionate about his Chemistry Shark Tank project and would happily inform us on the nuclear reactors he was researching. Xander was also inducted into the National Honor Society one month ago, which is a testament in it and of itself, but to achieve that level of academic excellence at Westlake Academy is something only an extremely intelligent and determined student could accomplish.  Xander had so much potential and it really hurts to think that I'll never get to laugh with him again. He will be deeply missed. May you rest in peace Xander, and may you know how much you were truly loved.

I just wanted to say that Xander was always a very reliable friend. Ive known him to be consistently funny and kind throughout all 11 years that Ive known him. It will be hard going through  school without him here. He was such a pillar in our community and we miss him so very much ❤️

Hey Xander, I hope you are doing okay. I’m sorry for what ever happened and thank you for everything that you have helped me with. You are the reason I kept pushing through and kept my head high. You always knew what to say to make me smile when I was sad or how to calm me down when I was worked up. I remember our call that lasted until 5 am with us just talking about it life and thank you for letting me be your first friend you have had in a while. It was such an honor and trust me everyone misses you today tomorrow and forever. Thank you for giving me tips on how to pass my French summive, thank you for helping me study for ap, and thank you just for every thing. You said you thought of me like a little sister and I never said what i thought back, but I really did think of you not just as a friend but also as a big brother. How you would take care of me and everyone around you was so kind and how you would fix my collar when you said I looked like “Dracula” or skirt if it was messed up. Everything, thank you for that. I wish I could have been more of a help to whatever it was you were going through, and that will be one of my deepest regrets.. not being able to be there for you when you  when you needed it the most when you were always there for me. I love you man I really do and everyone else does too. Your name will be passed down for generations.We will all miss you, forever and always.

This is one of my favorite pics of Xander and Jacob, hanging out in my classroom. Xander was a precious young man and a blessing as a friend to my son. I cannot begin to express our sorrow at his passing. Words feel so inadequate. We are praying for peace, comfort, and healing for all of those who loved him, especially his parents who cherished him dearly.
