Obituary of Allene G. Miller
Allene G. Miller was born on September 6, 1944 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late William Sr. and Myrtle Tuggle. She was the mother of three children. At the age of 76, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 7, 2021, in her home surrounded by her family. Throughout Allene's life she was known to be energetic, and a faithful servant of God. She was a life-long member of St. Paul A.M.E Church, having been a member since birth. She served as a secretary for many years for the Mary F. Handy Missionary Society. She also served as a volunteer and member for the Senior Usher board, Senior Lay Organization, and the St. Paul Kid's Night Out Ministry. Allene attended Crispus Attucks High School, and attended Ivy Tech Community college. She was employed at Thompson Electronic (R.C.A.). She then worked for IPS as a monitor and later as a bus driver for the Durham School District, where she found her second family, and became a positive union leader. She enjoyed trips to the casino, shopping, bowling, playing cards, going on vacation, and family dinners at her daughters house every Sunday. Allene would be elated in knowing that her resting place will be beside her baby girl, Alicia, standing in God's Kingdom for eternity. Allene was preceded in death by her parents: William Sr. & Myrtle Tuggle, daughter: Alicia E. Miller, son: Andrew E. MillerJr, and her sister: Patricia Tuggle. Allene is survived by her husband: Andrew E. Miller, a very devoted daughter: Karllena Brady, sister: Cecelia White, brother: William (Flortencia) Tuggle Jr., grandchildren: Richard & Charisse Wells, and Andrew Brady, and a number of nephews, nieces, church family, and friends.
