Mrs. Alma Jean McBeath, the daughter of the late Ferman Weathers Sr., and Murlee (Richmond) Weathers was born on December 6, 1937 in Leake County, Mississippi. She was a graduate of Leake County Agricultural High School. Alma Jean accepted Christ at an early age at Truelight Missionary Baptist Church in Walnut Grove, Mississippi.
Alma Jean was united in Holy Matrimony on August 27, 1958 to Leo McBeath. To their union four children were born. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose presence will be missed. Alma Jean enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, baking and cooking, sharing recipes, spending time with family and friends, watching television (SOAPs) and going to church. She was soft spoken, kind, caring, polite and avoided confrontation, but stood up for what she thought was “RIGHT”. She genuinely saw the good in everyone and had a love for family, friends and anyone she happened to be acquainted with. As a mother and grandmother she spoke volumes as she taught us all to live a life of honesty and integrity.
Mrs. Alma Jean McBeath departed this life on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the age of eighty-seven years, seven months and eighteen days. She was preceded by her father Ferman Weathers Sr., mother Murlee (Richmond) Weathers, husband Leo McBeath, sister Addie Lou Hudson, five brothers: Billy Howard Weathers, Ferman Weathers Jr., Lamar Weathers, Johnny Weathers and Cozie Lee Weathers, son Ricky Leonard McBeath, and grandson Caryle Theo Jones.
