Andrea Denise Caldwell

Mrs. Andrea Denise Caldwell was the second child born to the late Benny Hatchett Jr., and Sandra Marie Hall (Hatchett) on August 16, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was never called by her given name and was called “Deanie” by family and friends. Deanie attended elementary school at IPS #42. She professed her love of God at an early age and was baptized at Community Baptist Church in 1969 where she also sang in Community’s 1st Preparation Choir. After graduating from Crispus Attucks High School in 1977, she was employed by the State of Indiana until she retired on disability. Deanie was united in holy matrimony to George Shanklin and to this union, their one and only son, Eurey Lee was born. Deanie found love again and married her present husband, Kenneth Caldwell. She loved being in the company of family and friends and enjoyed family gatherings. A loving and devoted mother to her son, Deanie had a giving spirit and cared for her mother and aunt when they became ill. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Andrea Denise Caldwell departed this life on July 31, 2020 at the age 60, just 16 days shy of her 61st birthday. She is preceded in death by her parents. Deanie leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Kenneth Caldwell; son, Eurey Lee Shanklin; sisters, Delicia “Jeanie” Atwater (Griffin) and Tracey Smith (Robert); brothers, Andre “Hank” Hatchett (Elizabeth) and Bennie Hatchett III (Nancy), aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
