Andrew F. Davey

88, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 9, 2018. Andrew was quite the salesman and character, retiring from Lincoln/Pentair after many years in the business. He spent the majority of his life making sure that he never met a stranger and was quite impressive at doing so. He was a United States Army Veteran, a former Capital Policeman in Washington DC, and The Indiana Representative to Boys State. Andrew was a former tennis and baseball player at St. Joseph College and kept active throughout life with sailing, skiing, and bird watching. Beyond his impressive skills and attributes in work and activities, he was best known for his genuinely happy demeanor and his loving heart as a father. Andrew will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 55 years, Dorothy; his children, Christopher Mally, Susan (Michael) Tsangaris, Nancy (John) Kell, Kevin (Wendy) Davey, Carol (Michael) Beatty, Andrea Davey and Brian (Julie) Davey; his grandchildren, Jason, Kim, Nick, Paul, Megan, Molly, Max, Mark, Andrew, Tommy, Ethan, Emily, and Colin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Jane Mally; his granddaughter, Charity Mally; his great grandson, Nathaniel Mally; and his siblings, Rosemary, Hugh, Marjorie, and Gerald. Andrew's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hooverwood Nursing Home for the loving care they provided him, with special thanks to his personal angel, Anita. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, preceded by visitation from 9am until the time of mass. You always took time to play games with us. You made comming to indianapolis and Frankfurt so much fun.
