Ann Louise Murdock

Ann Louise Murdock of Carmel, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 22. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home with Services starting immediately following..

Ann was born in Chicago, IL to Robert and Alice Bley on January 9, 1946. Ann earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in Education from Indiana University Bloomington. She married Dean David Murdock on August 29, 1970 in Chesterton, Indiana.

Ann worked as a kindergarten educator throughout her career in the Indianapolis area public school systems. Ann, known as Annie to many, was a warmhearted person who fostered many deep relationships throughout her life. She loved her family, had many truly close friends, and sincerely cared for children. Her life revolved around these connections.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alice, and her husband, David. Ann is survived by her son Matthew (Sarah), daughter Sarah (Jordan), granddaughter Jane, twin sister Sally, brother Bob, brother-in-law Chuck (Dixie), and sisters-in-law Mary (Larry), Marcia, and Margaret. Memorials may be sent to the Indiana University Foundation.
