Ann Catherine Schuck (Nickel) passed away on March 27, 2020 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Ann was born on August 20, 1953 to Wilbur (Nick) and Emily Nickel in Versailles, KY. Since her dad worked for Eli Lilly, she grew up in Kentucky, Iowa, and Nebraska before Indianapolis. She graduated from North Central High School in Indianapolis in 1971 and attended the University of Kentucky. Ann married Larry Schuck in 1974 and they were happily married for 44 years before he passed away in December of 2018. Ann loved to spend time with family, play bridge, paint, and entertain. She was an advocate for the MS Society, participating in as many fundraisers as she could. She was also a member of Stansfield Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry and her father, Wilbur Nickel. Ann is survived by the loves of her life; her children, Sarah Austin (Suzanne) and Greg Schuck (Katie). She is also survived by her mother, Emily Nickel, her sister Amy Lippard (Jim), her nephew Michael Lippard (Katie), her niece Emily Knerr (Eric) and one great nephew, Erickson Knerr. Ann’s family would like to thank the good people at Castleton Health Care that worked so hard for Ann and became her friends. They would also like to recognize and thank Ann’s longtime friend Lynn Shoger for her unwavering support and care. A celebration of life will be scheduled for later in the year.
