Anna, known for her strength, fought and managed to defeat cancer three times over the course of seventeen years. This selfless mother of three children and many others that she cared for over the years – many even called her mom – was always quick to sacrifice her own wants and needs for those in her care. The impact that she made on the children in the Little Flower area during the 1980’s and early 1990’s cannot be understated. Anna greatly enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, her Christmas cookies and candies were always highly anticipated.
Anna is survived by her loving husband Robert, who will continue to tell her story and keep her legacy alive. Her sons John Zautcke, Chris Strykowski and Steven Strykowski will greatly miss her yet keep her memory on display by leading humble lives in service of their children. Her daughters-in-law Katie Zautcke, Lynne Strykowski and Kristi Strykowski will be forever grateful for the way she accepted them as family rather than as in-laws – all will surely use that example when their own children marry. Anna’s seven grandchildren - Jade, Michaela, Madysen, Merrick, Austin, Addison & Scarlett - and three great-grandchildren - Kali, Arianna (deceased), & Harper - will certainly miss the little things (hugs, sitting on the floor and coloring pictures, making “grandma’s pancakes”, eating her cookies) yet will live their lives remembering all the love and unwavering support that she was never in short supply of bringing to any and all situations.
