Anthony Robert "Tony" Shutt

63, of Indianapolis, departed this life, October 22, 2015 at Community South Hospital. Tony was born July 30, 1952 in Indianapolis to the late Harry T. and Mary Helen (Weber) Shutt. He worked for Loy Instrument Company for over 36 years, retiring in 2011. Tony was a true race fan of Hoosier Auto Racing. He had owned modifieds and midget sprint cars. He was a knowledgeable racecar mechanic and spent his lifetime trackside. He passed his passion of racing onto his son. Tony enjoyed fun times with family and friends, and trips to Florida. He is survived by his dear son, Harry Robert “Bob” Heather) Shutt; his loving sisters, Jean (Jerry) Hafley, Mary (Danny) Williams and Alice (Rusty) Trimble and a host of dear friends, track buddies and coworkers. In addition to his parents, Tony was also preceded in death by his sister, Vera Whisler.

Visitation for Tony will be from 10-1 pm Wednesday, October 28th at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. A funeral service for Tony will begin at 1:00 pm in the mortuary. Interment follows at Calvary Cemetery.
