Ariel Cae Jones

Ariel Cae Jones “Suga Mama” was born on December 31, 1991 in Peoria, Illinois to Anita Lacey and Galen Jones. Ariel departed this life on April 17, 2023 at the age of 31. She had a special bond with her great-great aunt and uncle, Emma Robinson and the late Odell Robinson. They were considered her second parents. Ariel attended Warren Township School System in Indianapolis, Indiana. She later attended Parker High School in Birmingham, Alabama. She was baptized in her early youth at Rose Christian Church where she was a member for many years during her childhood. Ariel enjoyed singing and dancing. She was the life of the party. Her smile and goofy personality would light up a room. Ariel enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Special times for her were the holidays and her birthday. Ariel loved getting her hair and nails done. She also had a passion for helping others feel and look their best. Ariel loved her nephews and nieces like they were her own. She was the “fun Tee-Tee.” Ariel’s real child was her dog, “Elvis Jones” who she loved dearly. Ariel leaves to cherish her loving memories, a significant other, Derrick Spruce of Birmingham, Alabama. Beloved parents, Anita Lacey and stepfather, Odell Evans of Birmingham, Alabama. Her biological father, Galen Jones of Peoria, Illinois. Five brothers, her twin brother Aaron Jones and Joshua Jones of Indianapolis, Indiana; Galen Jones, Jr., Kendrick Jones and Jaquan Jones of Peoria, Illinois. Three sisters, Chasatie Finley of Indianapolis, Indiana; Chelsie Jones of Birmingham, Alabama and Tashya Jones of Peoria, Illinois. Her maternal grandparents, L.V. and Alice Davis of Jackson Mississippi and paternal grandparents, Marvene Jones-White and Frank Jones of Peoria, Illinois. A host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
