Arthur Jay Stanley, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away January 24, 2018. He was born May 28, 1947 in Frankfort, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Edna (Baker) Johnson and his wife, Kathy Stanley. He served in the US Army in the Vietnam War and worked for Harding Trucking. He was also a member of the White River Yacht Club and enjoyed boating and being on the water with his friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Jill Stanley; brother-in-law, Tim Davidson; step-son, Chris Carl; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many friends and extended family members including Kristina Nunweiler.
According to his wishes he will be cremated and the family will gather with friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the White River Yacht Club or Disabled Veterans of America.
