We laughed and enjoyed working to improve care for sickle cell patients for the past 11 years. Asmar was truly a great friend and mentor to me and I will miss him dearly.

I have worked with Asmar for the past 12 years and will cherish my memories of this kind man with a heart of gold.  He was so dedicated to the comprehensive holistic care of our patients.He maintained a calm demeanor in all his interactions and had a great memory for little details that were significant to each individual. We miss his presence greatly. Deepest condolences and much love to friends  and family. 

Asmar provided such compassionate care to his patients. I always admired his calm demeanor and the way that he took care of the entire person, not just their sickle cell disease. He will be greatly missed. 

Asmar was such a kind, considerate person.  I didn't work closely with him, but always chatted with him in the break room and at company events.  We always discussed his cycling, and he was always such a sincere man.  I will be praying for his family and the patients that will miss him so very much.  

Our prayers go out to Asmar's family. This news was a great shock to my wife and I. We appreciated his depth of knowledge, compassion and understanding of my condition. He is already missed. May God's blessings be on all his family.

I had the pleasure of working at the IHTC with Asmar for the past 15 years.  While we rarely crossed paths at work, he was always very kind and considerate and I enjoyed talking to him. Every time we did cross paths, I was surprised that he took the time to ask how I was doing with genuine interest, even in a brief Hello. I will miss those visits with Asmar.

Asmar was a kind and gentle soul, and all of us at IHTC will so dearly miss him. I fondly remember his love of cycling and cars. We were within 1 week of the same age so celebrated Virgo Birthdays. He had such a quiet humor and a keen read on people. I send prayers and deepest sympathies to his family.

Asmar was such a joy to work with. I will miss him dearly. Sending prayers to family and friends.

I will never forget you Asmar. Your warm smile, your kind demeanor, your optimism and altruism. I will miss fasting together in Ramadan. I will miss your "may peace be with you/assalamu alaikom" greetings. Gone too soon but with God you are united. In my prayers you will remain and you will forever live through every one of us at the IHTC and all the good you have done. Love you and miss you dearly my dear friend and big brother. The loss of our Dear Friend Asmar is felt by many, and we will always remember the warmth of his smile, and kind words he brought to the IHTC Center everyday...   He will be missed...

Asmar was loved by one and all at IHTC. Though I am a pediatric doctor and did not directly work with Asmar, I got to know him through other avenues; lunch room run ins, sitting with him at the same IHTC holiday party table, conversations in passing and other IHTC comings and goings. His quiet but strong and calm demeanor was sensed by all; grace and dignity under pressure. You will be so missed by all of us at IHTC Asmar. Wishing for timely healing for his family, as best as is possible. My heartfelt condolences.

Sorry for this loss.. My prayers go out to the family.  Asmar had a easy going, very kind and friendly personality.   It was a joy working with Asmar over the past 15 years at Indiana Hemophilia  & Thrombosis Center.   We will be missed Asmar terribly !
