Barbara & I met "accidentally" about 4 years ago, on 2 key & crucial days in her life. I know there are no accidents. The times we sat & talked, her profound love for her husband, children, grandchildren & cooking filled our conversations! I know she earned her happiness toward the end of her life. I'm invested in the belief that we'll meet up again, share recipes & never run out of things to talk about. Knowing her was a gift-TY Barbara B:)

Barb was such an inspiring woman who had nothing but pure joy in life. I always looked forward to seeing her and George, Jamie and Amy at the beach every summer. I learned much from her in raising my children in those years. She was a perfect model of a mom. May God bring all of her family and friends comfort. Much love and God's blessings..Diane

Barbara…we were so blessed to have her in our lives; with her charisma and dynamic personality she created a loving bond that transcended 4 generations of our family! With such a caring heart and an eagerness to listen, she gave me heartfelt inspiration and helpful advice when I really needed it! She had an incredible zest for life and a fun spirit; her family was always her priority and clearly what gave her the most joy! The last days of her life, Barbara no doubt selflessly hung in a balance between time and eternity as long as she could before beginning her new and beautiful phase of life.  She will truly be missed by so many who loved her dearly…until we meet again.  Our Barbara is now an Angel in heaven, who by now has come to know the rapture of the disembodied spirit where she is wrapped in God's love and has reunited with loved ones, experienced satisfied desires, glad surprises and divine joy. Knowing she is now enjoying the serenity and peacefulness of heaven where she is blessed with perpetual love and joy and peace and happiness without measure, she would want us to find comfort and be uplifted. I will always remember and use the advice Barbara gave me and will think of her every time I pray the Serenity Prayer…that also gave her much peace and strength. I love you Barb!  Thank you so much for all the kindness, fun times and love you gave to me and our family!  You were an amazing wife, mother, Grammy, cousin, niece and friend. George and Barbara and I were friends in college. They were both such free spirits that no one thought their relationship was serious enough to ever last. Boy, could they have made some money taking bets on that. 
I greive for George as he begins that jouney that no spouse ever wants to take.  I pray that the healing comes soon and that the memories of his lifetime with Barbara quickly turns from sad ones of the moment into joyful reveries of the past and their wonderful lives together.
God bless you, George, and give you "the peace that passes all understanding".

Barbara and I became friends fifty years ago when we were roommates at Frostburg State in Maryland.  Our friendship never wavered through the years and I consider myself privileged to have had her in my life all these years. I have so many memories and have been in awe of her strength the past few years. She will be in my heart forever. Barbara and George have been a part of our lives for many years--ours and our dogs---they started out staying at our house when we were away to tend our dogs, our swimming pool, etc and became our good friends.

There is a peace within me knowing that you are with God.  No longer fighting and suffering a battle you fought for 2 1/2 years. You are the bravest women I know.  You give me the strength I need to move on and I thank you for that.  I will miss our daily talks, our tea in the morning, our meetings in the laundry room. Thanks for the extra 2 1/2 years that we never thought we were going to have.  I will miss watching you love my children unconditionally.  Thank you for loving me.

Until we walk in the park amid the daffodils again My Dear, I will miss you so. Until then, I know you will be enjoying your garden, your cooking, your coffee, listening to Diana Krall and looking at the moon over the Hudson.
