Barbara Jean Gaddie Turner

Barbara received her early educational training in the Indianapolis Public School system. Barbara professed a hope in Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. In later years she joined Warren Baptist Church. Barbara was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Clifton Turner Sr. on June 10, 1954. Barbara had three children that preceded her in death, Clifton Turner Jr., Wanda J. Taylor, Marcia A. Posley and all of her brothers and sisters. Barbara tutored at School #87 for many years. She was a housewife, she loved too cook, fish, and her music.

Mrs. Barbara Jean Turner departed this life on Tuesday January 1, 2019. While she was a patient at Rose Walk Nursing Home at the age of 87 years 1 month and 3 days. She leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter Jennie B. Turner, three sons Leo Hutchinson (Shirley), William C. Turner (Stephanie), John E. Turner, many grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. Funeral service will begin immediately following visitation at 12:00pm.
