Barry attended Noble Services of Indiana, where he received therapies and social skill set development. He gained confidence and engaged in interactive social activities, which he greatly enjoyed. Barry graduated from Broad Ripple High School.
Barry had a wonderful sense of humor and a hearty laugh. He was so very special and loving and kind to all who knew him. He had a true and genuine zest for life. He enjoyed attending church services, shopping and making crafts. In his mid-twenties he worked at Value City. In his later years, he was an enthusiastic participant in the Glad Writings program sponsored by Midtown Community Mental Health center.
He was a steady fixture in the Meridian, Fallcreek, and downtown Indianapolis area up into his forties. Barry successfully navigated the public transportation system, including arriving at his mother's hospital room (independently), when he learned about her illness.
We will miss his laughter, his smile, his request for a plate of food, his favorite candy, bubble gum, popcorn, a pair of Jordan tennis shoes, cologne and old school rap music.
