Benna was the wife of Rev. Dr. Richard (Dick) Moore, the mother of Kathy (Moore) Coats and Rick Moore, and grandmother to Nicole (Moore) Olenik, Lindsey (Moore) Caceres, Kathryn (Moore) Spencer, and Elizabeth (Coats) Carson. Benna also held the very special title of great-grandmother to Elijah, Henry, Leo, Callie, Owen, Noa, and Lylah.
Benna was a teacher in Pike Township and North Newton Township school districts. Benna also enjoyed walking along the sandy shores of Panama City Beach, FL just as much as she did sitting in the sun with her book listening to the ocean waves.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Grace Shepherd, husband Rev. Dr. Richard Moore, and granddaughter Emily Marie Coats. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Benna’s life will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery on February 21st, with visitation from 11 am-1 pm, and service to follow at 1 pm.
