Age 56, passed away September 23, 2013. He was the loving son of the late Bernard and Ann Lewis. Beloved father of James R. Lewis (Amanda Gibson). Dear grandfather of James Jr. and Nicholas. Dearest brother of Bob (Diane) Johnson, Ralph Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Norma Johnson, Judith Patton and the late Patricia Bell. Bernie is also survived by his girlfriend, Ronda. Bernie attended Indianapolis Schools, worked as a cab driver and in construction. He recently retired from Laura Kopetsky Tri-Ax Inc. after many years of service. Bernie enjoyed the outdoors, being a member of the NRA, and time at the shooting range. Bernie was a fun-loving man with a quick wit and appreciation for the little things in life. His family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Thursday with a Funeral service Friday at 10am at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
