

He married his sweetheart, soulmate and his queen, Florence B. Maclin, on January 6, 1962. And they were true examples of marriage to many friends and family.
Bland worked for Allison Transmissions/Rolls Royce North America for over 40 years until his retirement in 2013. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bland enjoyed studying the Bible, teaching Sunday school, playing Spades, traveling, and spending time with family. His faith and love for his family were cornerstones of his life.
Bland is survived by his son, Taris (Amanda) Maclin of Carmel, IN; daughter, Felicia Maclin of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughter, Katelynn (Corey) Nelson of Westfield, IN; grandson, Ezekiel Maclin of Carmel, IN; step-granddaughter, Sydney Wimberly of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Almersteen Davis of Savannah, GA.
In addition to his immediate family, Bland leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will remember his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering kindness.
Services will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, on Monday December 16th, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a celebration of life at Noon.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time.
