Brenda Y. Jones

Ms. Brenda Y. Jones the daughter of the late Lloyd and Helen Smith was born on September 20, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Brenda confessed her hope in Christ at an early age. She was bap-tized at Eastside New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Brenda was faithful in her services until her health failed.

Brenda received her education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School.

Brenda was united in matrimony to Alan Jean Jones and to this un-ion three children were born, Tia S. Jones (deceased), Kifaru L. Jones and Brenden Jones.

Brenda was employed at the United States Postal Service and later retired. After the death of her daughter Brenda extended her gift of moth-erhood further and she also raised her four grandchildren; Antia D. Boyd, Alan E. Jones, Aaliyah K. Jones and Isaiah Jones.

Brenda served on the Mothers Board and as a Sunday School Teacher, along with various other committees at her church. She loved her church family and her Pastor Jonathan Williams and First Lady Linda Williams.

Brenda was an excellent cook and loved utilizing her unique bak-ing recipes. She enjoyed family functions and spending time with her brother and sisters.

Brenda was loved by many, she gave her loved ones their flowers while they could enjoy them, she will be greatly missed.

Brenda was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Rich, daughter Tia S. Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory sons; Kifaru L. Jones, Brenden J. Jones, brother, Rodney (Evelyn) Smith, sisters; Karen M. Arnold, Karla A. Bibbs, Stephanie (Karl) Blunt, grandchildren; Antia Boyd, Evan Jones, Aliyah Jones, Isaiah Jones, 2 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

We had the pleasure of briefly knowing her on her visit to Germany years ago to see her brother Rodney. Our hearts go out to her family in this time of sorrow. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
