Brent Ernest Robertson

Brent Ernest Robertson of Indianapolis died January 5, 2019. He was born in Indianapolis on October 28, 1940 to Mary Ann and Ish Robertson. The family moved to Cory, Indiana when he was a young boy. He is the beloved husband of Diane, married for 56 years. Survivors include two sons, Brent and wife Mary of Indianapolis and David and Amy of Memphis, TN; two granddaughters, Shelby Jane Robertson and Janie "Peaches" Grace Robertson; Brother-in-law, Phillip Bandy and fiancé Sally Traverse of Terre Haute, former sister-in-law, Sharon Massey of Terre Haute; and, two nephews, Mark and wife Kate Bandy of Bettendorf, IA and Greg Bandy of Terre Haute. Preceded him in death, his brother, Kent Robertson. Mr. Robertson graduated from Cory High School in 1958. He is a graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1962 and is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He was commissioned into the US Army in 1962 - 1967 and remained in the Reserves until 1976. He worked in the tire and rubber industry for 38 years, retiring in 2005 from the Michelin Tire Corp. of North America. Mr. Robertson graduated with an MBA from the University of Akron, OH. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America Old Portage Leadership Council, Benevolent Order of the Elks, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, American Society of Engineers, Shriners of North America-Murat Shrine of Indianapolis, Carmel Lodge No. 21, Sertoma Club of Broad Ripple, TheAmerican Legion, GTO Association of America, National Rifle Association, and Committee Chairman of the Indianapolis Republican Party. Arrangements were entrusted to Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. A visitation for Brent will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208. An entombment will occur at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
