Bridget Ann Carter

Bridget Ann (Hogan) Carter, 88, passed away on August 11, 2018. She was born February 25, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Thomas and Bessie Hogan. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe F. Carter, her daughter Teresa Carter, her son Kevin Carter, and her grandson Jeff Perkins. She was mother to 9 children, and grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She and her husband were charter members of St. Jude Catholic Church. Bridget loved watching all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and enjoyed bragging about their lives. She enjoyed the last 2 years at Belmont Village Senior Living in Louisville, KY, where she met many new friends and enjoyed bingo and involving the other “inmates” (her words) in jigsaw puzzles. Bridget is survived by her sons Steve (Julie), John (Sandy), Brian (Jama), and Mark, and daughters Debbie Perkins (Greg), Barb Axum (Kerry), and Lisa Garber (Sean), and her sister Kitty Smith. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 14, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis, IN, from 10:00 to 11:00 am immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
